What is the number to the left of the Wi-Fi icon on my phone?

The number displayed to the left of the Wi-Fi icon refers to the Wi-Fi standard of the current connection:
- WiFi 4 - 802.11n (operates in the 2.4/5 GHz frequency range only and supports speeds up to 600 MB/s)
- WiFi 5 - 802.11ac (operates in the 5 GHz frequency range only and supports speeds up to 3466.8 MB/s)
- WiFi 6 - 802.11ax. (operates in both the 2.4/5 GHz frequency ranges and supports speeds up to 9608 MB/s)

- Sony has decided to remove support for Wi-Fi generation icons (i.e., the number displayed on the bottom left of the Wi-Fi icon) from its Android 13 OS.
- MB/s stands for megabytes per second. MB is used in reference to file size or the amount of data transferred.
