Can I play audio in High-Resolution format with the Walkman Player?

    NW-A300 Series

    These Walkman players support High-Resolution playback over a wireless connection with devices that support LDAC.

    To play audio in High-Resolution format, you need to use the following settings and connection:

    • Open the Settings menu, select Sound, and then set Use High-Res streaming to ON.
    • Connect a device that supports LDAC to the Walkman player via Bluetooth
    NW-ZX700 Series

    These Walkman players support High-Resolution playback over a wireless connection with devices that support LDAC.

    To play audio in High-Resolution format, check the following settings and connection:

    • Open the Settings menu, select Sound, and then set Use High-Res streaming to ON.
    • In order to enjoy music with better sound quality, we recommend using a wired connection.
    NW-WM1AM2/WM1ZM2

    These Walkman players support High-Resolution playback over a wireless connection with devices that support LDAC.

    Connect a device that supports LDAC to the Walkman player via Bluetooth to play audio in High-Resolution format.

    NW-A100/ZX500 Series

    These Walkman players do not support High-Resolution audio over a wireless connection.

    To play audio in High-Resolution format, you need to update the Walkman player to Version 2.0.0 (or later) and use the following settings and connection: 

    • Open the Settings menu, select Sound, and set High-Res streaming to ON.
    • Use headphones or speakers that support High-Resolution and make a wired connection to the Walkman player.
