How to connect a Walkman player to a Headphone Amplifier with a USB Type-C port

    What do I need?

    • Micro-USB cable: Standard-A-male to Micro-B-male



      NOTE: For the PHA-2A, a Micro USB cable is supplied with the product.
       
    • USB cable or USB conversion adapter: Standard-A-female to Micro-C-male.

    Connection method 

    For the PHA-2A:
    Connection diagram

    1. PHA-2A
    2. Walkman
    3. Micro USB cable (supplied）
    4. USB cable or USB conversion adapter（commercially-available）

    Refer to the following for the connection method.

    1. Connect a USB cable or USB conversion adapter to the USB Type-C port of the Walkman.
    2. Connect a Micro USB cable to Xperia/WALKMAN/PC port of PHA-2A.
    3. Connect the USB cable or USB conversion adapter to the Micro USB cable.

    NOTE: The connected the Walkman will not be charged even if the USB AC adapter AC-UD20 (sold separately) is used.
     

    For the TA-ZH1ES:
    Connection diagram

    1. TA-ZH1ES
    2. Walkman
    3. Micro USB cable（commercially-available）
    4. USB cable or USB conversion adapter（commercially-available）

    Refer to the following for the connection method.

    1. Connect a USB cable or USB conversion adapter to the USB Type-C port of the Walkman.
    2. Connect a Micro USB cable to WALKMAN port of TA-ZH1S.
    3. Connect the USB cable or USB conversion adapter to the Micro USB cable.

    NOTE: The connected Walkman will not be charged.
