Picture from a device that is connected by HDMI does not display in 4K (50p/60p).

If the following types of picture are not being displayed on the TV from an external device, use a High Speed HDMI cable with the 4K logo.

  • YCbCr 4:4:4 / 8bit (24, 25 and 30 Hz)
  • YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8bit (50 and 60 Hz)

If the HDMI cable you are using does not support the following signals, 4K (50p/60p) picture cannot be output.

  • YCbCr 4:4:4 / 8 bit
  • YCbCr 4:2:2 / 8 bit
  • YCbCr 4:2:0 / 10 bit
  • YCbCr 4:2:2 / 10 bit
  • YCbCr 4:2:2 / 12 bit
  • RGB signal 

When these signals are being output to the TV, a High Speed HDMI cable with 18 Gbps of bandwidth is necessary.
Be sure to confirm that your HDMI cable meets these specifications.

NOTE: Support of these signals will be added by software update. It will then be necessary to adjust the following setting.

  1. Using the supllied remote, press the HOME button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select External Imputs in the TV category.
  4. Select HDMI Signal format.
  5. Set to Enhanced format.

NOTE: If the signal is in enhanced format, any pictures or sound from external devices that do not support 4K may not be output normally. In such cases, change the signal format to standard format or switch the HDMI cable to an input for signals in standard format.
