Windows 10 support policy and schedule for your VAIO computer

    This page provides the compatibility results from the testing that was performed on your computer, where we checked the performance of your VAIO's core components & basic features under the Windows 10 environment. These tests do not guarantee long term system stability nor full compatibility for all of your computer's hardware and software.

    As announced previously, Sony does not currently plan to provide Windows 10 dedicated drivers for your VAIO computer. Please note that the compatibility information shown below is given as a reference only and that Sony cannot be held responsible in case of an unsuccessful upgrade to Windows 10, if you decide to perform the upgrade.

    IMPORTANT:

    • If you decide to proceed with the upgrade, make sure to backup your data and to create recovery media for your system before you start.
    • Sony cannot guarantee the compatibility of all your software and applications with Windows 10. Please check with your software provider to make sure that your software will be compatible.
    • The following compatibility results are based on tests conducted on 31/07/2015, with Windows 10 build number 10240. Since Microsoft is regularly updating Windows 10, the below compatibility information may not be fully up-to-date or accurate after this date.

    (P): Passed. Note that only basic tests were conducted. Passing those basic tests does not guarantee the absence of any compatibility issues.
    (F1): Critical (Bluescreen) error occurs on AMD/Intel Hybrid (Switchable) Graphics systems. To check if your system has Hybrid Graphics, please go to the Windows Device Manager (both the AMD and Intel display adapters will show up) or visit the Specifications section for your model on this website.
    (F2): Yellow exclamation mark appears on 'Ricoh PCIe Memory Stick Horst Controller' in Windows Device Manager.
    (F3): Touchpad may stop responding after PC resumes from sleep or hibernation mode.
    (F4): Camera app shows black preview camera screen.
    (-): Will not be tested
    (O): Not present on selected series.
