Can the date and time of Sony's Android TV be set automatically or manually?

The time of the TV is incorrect, how to adjust the date and time.


IMPORTANT:The TV acquires time information automatically, but may not acquire the right time depending on the environment you use.
Set Automatic date & time to Off, and then set the correct time manually.

Setting the time automatically

The date and time is automatically set, as this information is retrieved from  broadcast signals. If a broadcast signal is not available, you can also receive this data from the network connection by using the following inputs:

  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Date & Time in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES category.
  4. Select Automatic date & time.
  5. Set to ON, or set to Use network time.
    NOTE: If you select ON, set the Time synchronization to Use network-provided time.

If the time is not being displayed correctly, there is a possibility that the Time Zone setting is not correct. Follow the steps below to check the setting:

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Date & Time in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES category.
  3. Select Time.
  4. Select Automatic time zone.
  5. Set to Off.
  6. Select Set Time Zone, then select your location.

NOTE:If you use a special network environment such as VPN, the time on the TV may differ from the time of the location (area) where the TV is located.

Setting the time manually

The set the time manually, use the following instructions:

  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Date & Time in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES category..
  4. Select Automatic date & time.
  5. Set to Off.
  6. Set Date and Time manually.
