The following are the supported sound characteristics (number of channels and sampling frequency) and audio formats from each output jack for the player:  

HDMI

• LPCM up to 7.1ch
• Dolby Digital up to 5.1ch
• Dolby Digital Plus up to 7.1ch
• Dolby TrueHD up to 7.1ch
• DTS ES Matrix up to 6.1ch
• DTS ES Discrete up to 6.1ch
• DTS ES 8ch Discrete up to 7.1ch
• DTS 96/24 up to 5.1ch
• DTS 96/24 ES Matrix up to 6.1ch
• DTS up to 5.1ch
• DTS-HD High Resolution Audio up to 7.1ch
  

NOTE that LPCM 7.1 ch is only for 96/48kHz

Digital Out

• LPCM up to 2ch
• Dolby Digital up to 5.1ch
• DTS up to 5.1ch
