Pressing the focus hold button of the SEL70200G has no effect and when using the focus mode or shake compensation switch, the display and operation of the camera do not match. Is this a malfunction?

The Focus hold button of the SEL70200G is currently not functional for all camera and they may require a firmware update to support it. Please check if any firmware update is available on the product support site.

When using the lens in combination with ILCE-7 or ILCE-7R bodies, it is necessary to upgrade the body firmware to version 1.02 or later.

Note: when using the focus mode or shake compensation switch, some displays on the camera (like focus distance, shake compensation indicator or the focus mode display (AF/MF)) may not match the button setting on the lens. This is not a malfunction.
