Will I be able to watch the BBC UHD HDR Live Streaming trials on my Sony TV, via the BBC iPlayer app? - October 30th 2018 Update
October 30th 2018 update:
As of October 29, BBC UHD HDR Live Streaming was enabled on 2016 and 2017 Sony's Android TVs (provided you installed the latest firmware update on your TV). Please open the BBC iPlayer to view currently available content.
Note that UHD HDR Live Streaming contents may not be available at all times. So far, previous trials included FIFA World Cup 2018 and Wimbledon games as well as footage from Planet Earth and Blue Planet II. Please visit the BBC website for information on upcoming trials or content.
The model list below has been updated to include 2016 and 2017 Android TV models.

At present, only selected models are eligible to participate in the Ultra HD HDR Live Streaming trials on the BBC iPlayer app, such as the FIFA World Cup and Wimbledon.

Please note that not all Sony 4K devices will be compatible to support BBC iPlayer trials.
Our engineers are working on making more 4K devices compatible with Ultra HD BBC iPlayer Live Streaming events.
