How to connect your computer, tablet or phone with your non- Android TV via Wi-Fi Direct
- Some models require the UWABR100 USB Wireless LAN Adapter to be connected to the TV and a software update to enable Wi-Fi Direct. For further details, please refer to the operating instructions supplied with your product.
- Make sure the TV has the latest system software (firmware) update installed.
- Not all BRAVIA TVs are Wi-Fi enabled. In case of doubt, please check the User Manual or Specifications on the Support site.

1. Preparation
1-1. Find Wi-Fi Direct mode on your BRAVIA
Depending on your TV menu type:- Menu TV-1: Select Wi-Fi Direct Mode by pressing "Home" (MENU) on your remote control > [Applications] > [Wi-Fi Direct Mode].
- Menu TV-2: Under [Settings] [Network], confirm that [Build-in Wi-Fi] and [Wi-Fi Direct] are [On]. Then select Wi-Fi Direct Settings.
- Menu TV-3: Under [System Settings] [Wi-Fi Setup], confirm that [Build-in Wi-Fi] and [Wi-Fi Direct] are [On]. Then select Wi-Fi Direct Settings.
1-2. Launch Wi-Fi Direct mode
Press“Options” on your remote control | Select [Manual] |
Select [Other Methods] | You will get the SSID and the WPA Key to setup your device Wi-Fi |
NOTE: The WPS setting is not available on all Wi-Fi Direct capable devices. Refer to the manual supplied with the cell phone, computer or other Wi-Fi Direct device for information regarding the WPS setting.

Click the Network Icon and enter the network setting.
On the system tray click "Network Icon" and enter the network setting |
From network settings select the SSID supplied by your BRAVIA TV |
Input the WPA Key supplied by your BRAVIA TV and press “OK” | |

2-2. Sending content & playback
Launch "Windows Media Player" (Start menu -> Search -> Windows Media Player) or the icon on the “Quick Launch Toolbar” | Under the [Stream] tab check that the [Automatically allow devices to play my media…] is enabled. | |
Select some content (pictures, movies or music). Then click right button and select [Play to] -> [BRAVIA] | ||

3. Tablet (Android)
3-1. Connecting
From Menu select “Settings” | From Wi-Fi select the SSID supplied by your BRAVIA TV | |

3-2. Sharing content
Choose the application and the file you want to share on your BRAVIA TV. Keep in mind that only pictures and movies or music can be shared.

4. Phone
As soon as a connection has been established, media can be shared between a Wi-Fi Direct device and a Wi-Fi Direct compatible Sony TV using iMediaShare software or DiXiM software or other applications. For information on how to get specific Wi-Fi Direct applications on your cell phone, please refer to the manufacturer's website.
4-1. Android phone
Connecting
On you mobile settings select Wi-Fi | From Wi-Fi select the SSID supplied by your BRAVIA TV | Input the WPA Key supplied by your BRAVIA TV and press“Connect” |
Your Android Phone is now connected with your BRAVIA TV.
Chose an application and the file you want to share with it on your BRAVIA TV. Keep in mind that only pictures and movies or music can be shared.
