There are two official remotes for the EU region that are compatible with Sony's Android TV, the standard infrared remote and the Touchpad remote.
Standard IR remote
Section 1
- Source / input button: Displays and selects the input source
- Sync Menu: Initiate Bravia Sync
- Power / TV standby button: Turns the TV on or switches to standby mode
- Digital / Analog: Toggle between Digital and Analog input
- TV / Radio: Toggle between TV and Radio signal
- Football button: Turn Live Football Mode on or off
Section 2
- Numbered buttons (1 to 0): Select channels. For channel numbers 10 and above, enter the next digit quickly

- In text mode, enter the three digit page number to select the page
- Exit button: Return from the previous screen or exit the menu
- Text button: Displays text broadcast

- Coloured buttons: Access certain functions (based on the app, service or service currently in use)
- i+/? (Information / text reveal button): Displays information. Press once to display the information about the programme / input you're viewing. Press again to remove the display from the screen:

- In text mode, reveals hidden information
- Netflix button: Press to access "Netflix" online service:

- NOTE: The Netflix button is replaced with TV button if Netflix is not available in your region
- Help: Open the Help option
Section 4
- Action Menu: Opens the quick menu guide showcasing the most popular actions / functions for your TV
- Guide button: Open up the electronic programme Guide (EPG)
- Home button: Return to Home screen or cancel the current menu
- Discover button: Opens the Content Bar to search for content
- Back button: Go back to previous screen / option
- TV button: Watch TV
- Item select (arrows) / Enter buttons:

- Select or adjust items
- Confirm selected items

Section 5
- Volume +/- buttons: Adjusts the volume
- Jump button: Returns to the previous channel or input viewed more than 15 seconds ago. Alternate between the current channel or input and the last channel or input that was selected.
- Mute button: Mute the sound. Press again to restore the sound
- Prog buttons: Select the next or previous channel
- In text mode, select the next and previous page
Section 6
- Audio button: Select the sound of multilingual source or dual sound for the programme currently being viewed (depends on programme source)
- Subtitle button: Changes the subtitles settings
- Widescreen button: Change the screen display. Press repeatedly to change the ratio
Section 7
- Rewind /Play / Fast forward / Skip back / Pause / Skip forward / Stop buttons: Operate media content on the TV, and on connected Bravia Sync compatible devices
- REC: Activate HDD REC function
- NOTE: The message "To use this feature, a system software update is required. For details, please refer to Reference Guide" may be displayed if you don't have the latest software installed.
- Title list button: Access the title list of recorded titles on HDD recording
