Cast a Chrome browser tab to your TV from your computer
NOTES:
- To cast with a Google Chrome browser, make sure you are running the latest Chrome browser version.
- When casting a tab, the TV displays the Google Chrome tab. Make sure to check the system requirements in order not to limit functions in projecting web pages, images and slide shows.
- Casting a Google Cast-enabled web site is different from casting a tab using a Chrome browser.
- Connect your Android TV and your computer to the same network to cast Google Chrome tabs.
Follow these steps if you already have downloaded the Chrome browser on your computer.
Check if you have an up-to-date Google Chrome browser
- Launch the Chrome browser.
NOTE: If you need to update Chrome, follow these steps to check for updates.
- Click the Menu
on the upper right corner of the Chrome browser.
- Click Settings.
- Click About.
NOTE: The About page contains the software version of the Google Chrome browser or information if an update is available
- Click the Menu
Cast a Google Chrome Browser tab
- Launch the Google Chrome browser.
- Click the Menu
on the upper right corner of the Chrome browser.
- Click Cast....
NOTES:
- Once Cast... is clicked, the cast icon appears next to the Menu
icon and a Cast To window will appear.
- When casting web sites or apps like Netflix service, YouTube videos, Stan, Presto, or Quickflix, tap the Cast icon on the app or the web site.
- Once Cast... is clicked, the cast icon appears next to the Menu
- Select the TV model.
NOTE: The Google Cast icon located on the top right corner of the Chrome browser will appear in blue
once it successfully connected to the TV.
