Why are Catch-up TV services and Guide features unavailable?

Several BRAVIA TV features rely on internet-based services, including:

    • Catch-up TV apps such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, and Channel 5
    • Program Guide enhancements
    • Program search
    • WatchList functionality

If the TV cannot access online services, these features may be unavailable or provide limited functionality.

    Important:

    1. An internet connection is required to use Catch-up TV services and related Guide features.
    2. On the TV models mentioned in this article, signing in to a Google Account is required to access internet-based apps and services.

If your TV is connected to the internet but apps and online services remain unavailable, see:

Where are the Catch-up TV services and apps?

If BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, Channel 5, or other Catch-up TV services are unavailable, the TV may not be able to access online services.

To restore access, verify that your TV is connected to the internet and that online services are available.

Why do I see "No information" when scrolling back in the Guide?

Some program information is provided through online services.

If online services are unavailable, Guide information may be limited, and you may see messages such as No information when scrolling through the Guide.

If the TV was recently unplugged or restarted, program information may also take some time to reload.

Why can't I search for programs in the Guide?

Program search relies on online program information.

If online services are unavailable, program search may not be possible.

Why can't I use my WatchList?

WatchList functionality requires online services to be available.

If the TV cannot access online services, you may be unable to add programs to your WatchList or open previously bookmarked content.

    Still having problems?

If your TV is connected to the internet but Catch-up TV services, Guide features, or WatchList functions remain unavailable, check whether apps and other internet-based services are working normally.

If apps and online services are also unavailable, your TV may be operating in a signed-out mode.
