(Wired) All connection diagnosis results are displayed as Failed
After performing a network diagnosis, the result may appear as:
- Physical Connection: Failed
- Local Access: Failed
- Internet Access: Failed
NOTE: LAN cable may not be properly connected to the TV or the TV does not recognise the LAN cable.
Follow the troubleshooting steps below. Each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the network connection status after completing each step.
- Reset all of the network equipment, such as cable modem and router, by turning them off and unplugging them for 2 minutes.
- Connect the power cords of the modem and the router.
- Connect the TV power cord and turn on the power supply.
- Perform the connection diagnosis for the following TV models:
For 2014 TV models:
- On the TV remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings located in the upper-right corner on the TV screen.
- Select Network.
- Select Network Setup.
- Select Wired Setup.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
For Android TVs:
- On the TV remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Under the Settings category, select Help.
- Under the Help category, select Internet connectivity symptoms.
- Make sure that the connection is active by disconnecting the Ethernet cable from the TV and attempting to access the Internet using a computer or similar device.
- Test by using a different working LAN cable.
NOTE: If the issue is resolved, the LAN cable is defective.
- Connect the LAN cable to a different LAN port on the router.
NOTE: If the issue is resolved, there was a problem in connection of the LAN cable or connection port of the router.
