Intel® 2100 PRO/Wireless Network Connection Driver Version 1.2.4.4.1

This update resolves the following problem:
- Intel Centrino Wireless Driver Malformed Frame Privilege Escalation

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

The Wireless Switch Setting Utility may not function properly after updating this driver.
This problem concerns only the VAIO notebooks with Bluetooth built in.
If you experience this problem, please read the important notes at the bottom of this page!

Download and update instructions

1. DownloadINDWLL-00449514-UN.exeand save it to a download directory
2. Close all running programs
3. Go to the download directory and double-clickINDWLL-00449514-UN.exe
4. The Device Driver Installation Wizard starts
5. Click Next
6. Wait while setup installs the new driver
7. ClickFinish
8. Restart the computer to complete the driver installation

IMPORTANT NOTES!

=> Deselect Wireless Switch Setting Utility from launching at Windows Startup
1. ClickStartand clickRun
2. Typemsconfigin the Open box and clickOK
3. Click theStartuptab
4. UncheckSwitcher
6. clickOKand clickRestart
7. After the computer restarts, select theDon"t Display This Message Again
8. ClickOK

=> Use an alternative method for switching wireless radio on or off
1. Make sure the hardware Wireless switch is enabled
2. Right-clickMy Computerand clickProperties
3. Click theHardwaretab
4. ClickDevice Manager
5. Double-clickNetwork adapters
6. Double-click theIntel PRO/Wirelessadapter in use.
7. On theAdvancedtab, clickWireless On/Offto toggle the radio off and on
8. Click OK
