nVidia nForce Audio Driver Update (version 5.10.2917.0)

Resolved issues:

This Audio Driver update solves the following issues:

  • DVD playback stutters when DMA mode is used.
  • Intermittent noise occurs during the playback of Audio CD with Windows Media Player on Samsung CD-Drive SC-140 (PIO mode)

Download the Upgrade:

  1. Double-clicknVidia nForce Audio Driver.
  2. Select a folder, to save the file.
  3. ClickSave.

Extract the file to the harddisk:

  1. Go to the folder where the file (nVidia nForce Audio Driver.exe) has been saved.
  2. Double clicknVidia nForce Audio Driver.
  3. Make sure C:\Audio Driver is mentioned underUnzip tofolder.
  4. Click Unzip - The files will be extracted to the folder (C:\Audio Driver).
  5. When a window appears with13 file(s) unzipped successfully, clickOK.
  6. ClickCloseto close the application.

Update the nVidia nForce Audio Driver:

  1. ClickStart.
  2. Right clickMy Computerand clickProperties.
  3. Click theHardwaretab and clickDevice Manager.
  4. SelectSound, video and game controllersand double-clickNVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface.
  5. Click theDrivertab and clickUpdate Driver.
  6. SelectInstall from a list or specific location (Advanced)and then clickNext.
  7. SelectInclude this location in the searchand then typeC:\Audio Driverand then clickNext.
  8. Click on "Finish"
  9. Restart the computer.

Identify the new version of the audio driver:

  1. ClickStart.
  2. Right-clickMy Computerand clickProperties.
  3. Click theHardwaretab and clickDevice Manager.
  4. SelectSound, video and game controllersand double-clickNVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface.
  5. Click theDrivertab and clickUpdate Driver.
  6. Please, Verify if the module"s driver date is12/05/2002and the version of the module"s driver is5.10.2917.0.
