You can set a PIN code to use. The method for setting/resetting a PIN code is different for each feature.
For 2020 Android TV models
Parental lock
Configure the parental lock settings for broadcasts, streaming channels and other items. To set Parental controls, please follow the steps below:
- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select
Settings. - The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Watching TV — Parental controls — PIN Code.
- Select Device Preferences — Parental controls — Change PIN.
- Set your desired 4-digit PIN code.
If you have forgotten your PIN code, enter the master PIN code for your TV.
NOTE: Contact Sony Customer Support to confirm the master PIN code.
Restricted Profile
Restrict access to apps and other content. To set a Restricted Profile, please follow the steps below:
- If setting your first PIN
- Press the HOME button on the remote.
- Select
Settings. - Select Device Preferences — Security & restrictions — Create restricted profile.
- Set your desired 4-digit PIN code.
- If you have already set up a PIN
- Press the HOME button on the remote.
- Select
Settings. - Select Device Preferences — Security & restrictions — Enter restricted profile.
Your PIN code is also required to do the following.
- Exit Restricted profile mode
- Delete information from your profile while not in Restricted profile mode
If you have forgotten PIN code, check the following.
Parental lock (Broadcast)
Configure the parental lock settings for broadcasts. To set Parental controls, please follow the steps below:
- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select
Settings. - Select BRAVIA Settings — Parental Controls.
- Set your desired 4-digit PIN code.
If you have forgotten your PIN code, perform one of the following methods.
- Enter the master PIN code for your TV.
NOTE: Contact Sony Customer Support to confirm the master PIN code. - Perform a Factory data reset of your TV.
