Termination of Music Search and Video Search on Blu-ray Disc players and Blu-ray Disc Home Theater systems in 2019

    Dear valued Sony customer, 

    On certain Blu-ray Disc players, we will terminate the functions of displaying disc-related information of CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc by using the Gracenote database through an internet connection, on 28th February 2019. You can check the Blu-Ray Disc players affected in the applicable model section. 

    After the termination, downloading disc-related information like music title name, track name artist name and so on, as well as searching for information on the Gracenote database, called Music Search and Video Search, will no longer be available.

    The termination of these function will happen via firmware update the 28th February 2019. 
    It will not have any effect on playing CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc and displaying the disc information included on the disc itself.
