The power turns on or off by itself

If the power is turning on:

• Disable On timer.
  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Timers.
  3. Select On timer.
  4. Uncheck On timer.
• Set the Auto TV on or TV auto power on setting of BRAVIA Sync settings to Off.
  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select External Inputs in the TV category.
  4. Select BRAVIA Sync settings.
  5. Select Auto TV on or TV auto power on.
  6. Set to Off.

If the power is turning off:

Check the Daydream or Screen saver settings:

• Set When to Sleep or Put device to sleep to Never.
  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Daydream or Screen saver in the TV category.
  4. Select When to sleep or Put device to sleep.
  5. Set to Never.
• Set Daydream or Screen saver to Backdrop or Colours.
  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Daydream or Screen saver in the TV category.
  4. Select Daydream  or Screen saver .
  5. Set to Backdrop, Colours or BRAVIA Screen Saver.

  NOTE: To prevent screen burn-in, when Daydream/Screen saver is set to Sleep or None, the TV goes to sleep mode after the time period set in When to Daydream or When to start. This function still works even if When to Sleep or Put device to sleep are set to Never. However, it does not activate when a program or movie is playing on the TV.

Set the Sleep timer and Idle TV standby to Off:

• Set Sleep timer to Off.
  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Timers in the Settings category.
  3. Select Sleep timer.
  4. Set to Off.
• Set Idle TV standby to Off.
  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Power in the TV category.
  4. Select Eco.
  5. Select Idle TV standby.
  6. Set to Off.

  NOTE: Depending on the model, the Auto shut-off function may also need to be turned off.
