Receiving a GPS signal sometimes feels a bit long. Can this be improved?
Here are a couple of things you can try in order to improve the signal acquisition delay:
- When installing the GPS antenna, adjust its position making sure that the top part of the antenna has a clear view of the sky.
- If the vehicle has windows made of heat-absorbing glass, it may be hard for the GPS signal to penetrate it. In such a case, mount the GPS antenna in an area where there is no heat-absorbing glass.
- If the GPS antenna is not installed on a metallic area of the vehicle, it must be placed on the reflector supplied with the product.
NOTE: If you are not sure whether your vehicle is equipped with heat-absorbing glass, or if you are unsure about the locations where there is no heat-absorbing glass, please contact the support of your vehicle manufacturing company.
