Why does sound skip during Bluetooth communication?

The sound skips during Bluetooth communication.

The sound may skip when you use the unit under the following conditions:

  • A wireless LAN device is in use near the system.
  • A microwave oven is in use near the system.
  • Another BLUETOOTH device is in use near the system.
  • A device that generates electromagnetic radiation is in use near the system. Use the system away from these devices as far as possible.


The sound skip depending on the specification of the BLUETOOTH stereo audio system or the music format.
It might also skip when you receive the high bit-rate audio depending on the environment.

Please try the following steps to improve the sound by lowering the bit-rate:

  1. Disconnect the A2DP BLUETOOTH connection from the BLUETOOTH device on the sending side.
  2. Turn off the unit.
  3. Press down the jog switch and the POWER button simultaneously and hold for two seconds to turn on the unit.
  4. The lamp (red) indicates the battery level and the lamp (blue) blinks once.
  5. Then release the buttons.*
    *: It may not improve depending on the situation.


To return to the high bit-rate reception:

  1. Turn off the unit.
  2. Press up the jog switch and the POWER button simultaneously and hold for two seconds to turn on the unit.
  3. The lamp (red) indicates the battery level and the lamp (blue) blinks twice.
  4. Then release the buttons.
