How can I buy new eBooks and transfer them to my reader?
Start the Reader Library software and then select "eBook Store" on the left side. You can select one of the proposed dealers for eBooks here.
The Internet page of the eBook dealer will be automatically opened by clicking on the respective dealer.
Select the eBook you wish to purchase. This is usually done by clicking on a ‘Buy’, ‘Add’ or ‘Add to Basket’ button on the retailer website, but will vary according to retailer. You can then proceed to the ‘Checkout’ by pressing the appropriate link on the website (this may be at the top or the bottom of the retailer’s webpage).
You will be prompted to login to your account. If this is the first time you have purchased from your chosen retailer you will need to create a new account before you can proceed to the ‘Checkout’.
You can find more detailed information about the ordering process on the Help page of the respective dealer.
After completing the order process, you can download the eBook, and the following dialog field will be displayed:
Confirm in the "Open" dialog field, and the eBook will be automatically added to the library of your Reader Library software. You will then find the downloaded eBook in the Reader Library software in the "Purchases" folder under "Library".
If the eBook has been added to the Reader Library as described above, it can be directly transferred to the reader by drag-and-drop. Pick up the e-Book by holding down the left mouse button, and move the eBook onto the Reader symbol in the Reader Library.
Note: In order to successfully drag and drop your eBook file to the Reader, the eBooks must be displayed as a list. If the books are displayed as a ‘thumbnail’ image of the front cover, or an individual book is in ‘reading’ view then transfer will not be possible.
To switch to ‘List’ view (if required), click on the ‘List’ button in the top right hand corner of the Reader Library application as shown below:
The transfer of the eBook to your reader is thereby completed, and you can then read the book on your reader.

If you are asked to enter your Adobe ID during the transfer of the eBook, you have purchased a DRM-protected eBook. You can find more information about DRM and the Adobe ID in: What is DRM and how do I transfer a DRM-protected eBook?
