Sony Shared Library, Version 5.9.0.03310 for Microsoft® Windows® 7

This utility will install the originally shipped version of the Sony Shared Library for the Sony VAIO® computers listed below.

IMPORTANT NOTES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

• Warning! This utility is only for use with the following Sony VAIO® Computers: VGN;VGC;VGX;VPC
  Do not install this utility with any other model of computer (including other Sony computers sold worldwide).
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Please follow the steps below to download and install the SOASSL-00249674-0042.EXE program.

Notes on the installation procedure for VPCZ23 drivers and utilities

Please read this if you are installing a clean version of Windows 7 64-bit Edition

• You must connect the Power Media Dock (docking station) to your notebook when installing the 64-bit driver AMD Radeon HD6650M & Intel Mobile HD graphics . This driver won’t install if the Power Media Dock is not connected. Note that the driver AMD Radeon HD6650M & Intel Mobile HD graphics is a hybrid graphics driver for both the AMD and Intel graphics adapters. If you have purchased a VAIO VPCZ23 notebook series without the Power Media Dock, please install the standalone 64-bit driver Intel Mobile HD graphics .
• You must install ALL drivers and utilities labelled 64-bit or 32/64-bit that are available in the Preinstalled download section of your model. Failure to install ALL drivers and utilities may cause some features (for e.g.: Fn-hotkeys, etc.) not to operate properly.

If you have purchased a VAIO VPCZ23 notebook series without the Power Media Dock, please use a Windows 7 inbox Intel graphics driver.
• You must install ALL drivers and utilities labelled 32-bit or 32/64-bit that are available in the Preinstalled download section of your model. Failure to install ALL drivers and utilities may cause some features (for e.g.: Fn-hotkeys, etc.) not to operate properly.
  
  

1. Download the SOASSL-00249674-0042.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOASSL-00249674-0042.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the User Account Control window, click the Yes button.
4. If the Select Language window appears, select the language you wish to use and click the OK button.
5. At the Select Country screen, select the country for the installation and click the Next button.
6. At the "Welcome to Sony Shared Library Setup Program" window, click the Next button.
7. Read the Software License Agreement and click the I Agree button.
8. At the This system must be restarted to complete the installation screen, click the OK button to restart the system.

The installation of the Sony Shared Library is completed.
