By 2012 the UK will have switched to digital TV. Gradually, region by region, the UK's analogue TV signal is being turned off and replaced with a digital signal.

• If you have a digital TV or product that receives digital Freeview signals
  
  After the Switchover you will have to retune ALL your digital products that receive digital Freeview signals. This includes TVs, DVD recorders, set top boxes and personal video recorders (PVRs). This should only take a few minutes.
  
  Re-tuning instructions will vary from model to model, so we've provided specific tuning guides at the bottom of this page.

• If you receive your content via Sky, Virgin or Satellite (Freesat)
  
  You will not be affected by the switchover.
