DVDirect easily transfers all video footage from your camcorder onto AVCHD format DVD discs so you can enjoy stunning quality Full HD1080i video and digital sound on any compatible player.
Just connect your HD Handycam to DVDirect using the supplied USB cable, choose what to transfer and hit the ‘Record’ button.
You can copy everything, pick selected scenes or just transfer freshly-recorded clips since you last burned a disc.
DVDirect automatically creates a DVD menu and chapters, making it easy to track down your favourite memories while you’re watching.
Clips are transferred from camcorder to DVD at 6x speed, so you can copy a whole hour of video in just 10 minutes.

Standard Definition video
With DVDirect you can record standard DVD discs from virtually any camcorder.
Just connect your camcorder, slip in a blank DVD and press the ‘Record’ button.
With a choice of high-speed USB 2.0 and i.LINK (FireWire) interfaces, it’s easy to connect DVDirect to your HDD, DV or Digital8 Handycam.
Connected to a DV camcorder, DVDirect automatically rewinds the tape, starts playback and dubs the entire tape onto DVD.
If you’ve got a Sony HDD Handycam, you can choose whether to record everything that’s on the camcorder’s hard disk, only new clips or specify the exact scenes you want to transfer.
Naturally DVDirect is also compatible with all DVD Handycam models that shoot onto smaller 8cm discs. You can store the equivalent of three 8cm DVDs onto one standard-sized DVD.
If you’ve got a Hi8 or 8mm camcorder or even a VHS recorder there’s a choice of S-Video and Composite Video connections for transferring your analogue tapes.
