EXTRA BASS

We didn't call them EXTRA BASS for nothing.

We've always made the type of headphones that make you feel like you're in the best seat at a concert, or right next to the musician. But we realised that something was missing. That something was the feeling of being blasted by a 10 metre high sound rig, pushing out so much bass that you can hardly breathe.

So we designed our new XB series headphones for lovers of music with serious amounts of bass. It's all about feeling the rich, deep thumping bass line - without crushing the mids and highs along the way.

Extreme comfort and total sound isolation make the XB Series particularly luxurious too. Thick squashy king size ear cushions, like a big leather sofa, and hybrid silicone in-ear buds feel lightweight and easy - little do you know that the Sony-developed technology inside tightly seals them to stop sounds leaking out.

Our sound engineers came up with some mega powerful new technologies for the XB Series. But what’s extra special is the enormous-scale deep bass HD driver unit inside.

Engineered exclusively by Sony, it includes a newly developed long-stroke diaphragm. Highly corrugated and hard-wearing, this enables the headphones to accurately reproduce ultra-low frequency sounds at the same time as delivering deep, rich bass tones.

The result? An amazingly balanced, high quality audio adventure.

To stop sound leaking out, the XB Series also contains a unique direct vibe structure. Tightly sealing the ‘phones, it gives a better fit. And, if that weren’t enough, we’ve even come up with a new seamless flat headband and hairline finish on overhead models so you can wear them comfortably for even longer.
