HD HDR Production

Sony offers a choice of system cameras to meet today's fast-expanding 4K High Dynamic Range production requirements.

Our HDR line-up includes the Emmy Award winning HDC-4300, the de facto standard 4K system camera. It’s joined by the HDC-4800 that captures breathtaking 4K HDR super motion pictures, and the light, compact HDC-P43 POV camera that’s ideal for rigging on aerial and crane systems.

Instant HDR Workflow

To meet the expanding HDR needs of internet video platforms and other professional applications, Sony is to offer HDR capability on entry-level handheld XDCAM camcorders via HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) recording function* for easy and quick file-based workflows. Shoot, edit and view in HLG without the need for colour grading. For the FS5 camcorder, HLG will be supported in addition to S-Log3 by an easily accessed Picture Profile option. HLG will also be added to the PXW-Z150.
