Sony's 4K data projector with ultra-high resolution and 11,000 ANSI lumens brightness
The SRX-T110 features a 1.55-inch SXRD device - developed by Sony using cutting-edge manufacturing technology - that produces high-quality, accurate visuals.
Sony's SXRD 4K imaging device delivers an exceptionally high resolution of 4096 x 2160 (17:9 widescreen) - more than four times that of Full HD.
Thanks to this ultra-high resolution, the SRX-T110 goes far beyond HD. Even in multi-screen mode, it can deliver full 2K resolution images to each quadrant. It truly does represent a new level of visual projection.
The on-screen pixels projected by the SRX-T110 are approximately one quarter the size of pixels displayed by typical HD projectors - and there are four times as many.
This provides a more realistic on-screen image for the entire audience, even those who are watching close to the screen.
The SRX-T110 is powered by two 2 kW Xenon lamps, which deliver a high maximum brightness of 11,000 lumens. This is good for projecting clear images onto large screens or for locations where there is ambient light.
If you are presenting on a smaller screen or in a room where there is not much ambient light, you can adjust the power of the lamps to reduce the brightness by up to 51%.
The SRX-T110 reproduces very realistic tonal detail thanks to its high contrast ratio of 2500:1which is due to the newly designed optical block.
The thin cell gap structure of the SXRD device also contributes to an ultra-fast response time of 2.5 milliseconds (for both rise and fall).
The projector's Xenon lamps provide a wide colour space and accurate colour reproduction. Plus, the Colour Space Conversion function lets you set your desired colour space standard, such as ITU-R BT.709-3, DCDM (Digital Cinema Distribution Master) or CYZ XYZ.
sing optional input cards, the SRX-T105 supports a host of inputs, such as WUXGA, HD (1920 x 1080), DC (2048 x 1080) and 4K (4096 x 2160). And with the LKRI-005 DVI-D card, it also accepts HDCP-compliant 1920 x 1080p and 1280 x 720p signals.
The SRX-T110 has many useful operational functions. For example, thanks to its 8.8 megapixel resolution, you can choose from single-, dual- and quad-picture modes. Plus, the 'squeeze' function lets you project squeezed contents without an anamorphic lens.
The SRX-T110 has two lamps, which can be used together for full brightness or individually to maximise lamp life.
In dual-lamp mode, you not only get the full brightness of 11,000 lumens, but also the peace of mind that if one lamp fails, the other will continue to project your images.
In single-lamp mode, you can select either of the two lamps manually, or let the projector automatically select a lamp based on its operating time.
Another automatic mode is provided to make the lamps operate alternately at user-defined intervals, selectable from four hours to twelve hours (in increments of one hour).
The lamp power can also be set between 100% and 51%, in eight steps. This function, combined with the selectable lamp modes, contributes to achieving a longer lamp life.
The SRX-T110 can be tilted 90 degrees upward or downward. In addition, it can turn projected images upside down. This flexibility allows the projector to be used in several different ways, including as a rear projection system.
When the projector is installed at a 90-degree tilt angle, the optional LKRA-001 exhaust duct adaptor is required to ensure effective cooling. This allows the projector to be easily connected to a common 8-inch type duct system.
Five optional zoom lenses and an optional short-throw lens are available for the SRX-T110, covering a throwing distance of approximately one to seven times the screen width.
The short-throw lens works in special applications, such as rear projection, where there is minimal space behind the screen.
These functions enable up to seven zoom and focus positions to be held in memory by the SRX-T110, making it easy to switch the projection between two types of aspect ratio.
When used with the optional LKRL-Z117, LKRL-Z119 and LKRL-Z122 Zoom Lenses, any seven zoom and focus positions can be memorised and instantly recalled via the SRX Controller software.
An electronic vertical alignment feature is included in the same memory to compensate for vertical changes in the image, should the projector be mounted at a downward angle.
The SRX-T110 is supplied with a remote controller unit that can perform various simple functions such as turning the lamp power on/off, adjusting the zoom/focus and controlling the lens shift.
The supplied SRX Controller software provides an intuitive user interface for setting up and configuring the projector. Simply load the software onto a PC for control of up to four projectors, which connect via an Ethernet or RS-232C interface.
A comprehensive range of parameters can be adjusted, including input configuration, colour settings and maintenance options. These can then be saved on the PC as a data file and reused for another projector.
Special consideration was given to maintenance issues when developing the SRX-T110. The SRX Controller software allows you to easily verify each lamp's operating time, and automatic e-mail alerts provide maintenance reminders, as well as error messages.
