In addition to providing HDV1080i recording and playback, the HVR-M15AE now features the HDV native progressive format capability, which provides stunning 1080p images at 24, 25 or 30 frames per second.* Along with support for both DVCAM and DV formats, the HVR-M15AE offers users the ability to work with both standard definition and high definition content.
The HVR-M15AE is also compatible with standard size cassettes. The DigitalMaster cassette can provide over 4 hours recording of HDV content - the ideal choice when longer recording times are required.
The compact dimensions of the HVR-M15AE means that it can be positioned either horizontally or vertically depending on individual needs, whilst its simple design makes it very easy to use.As with all HDV products, the HVR-M15AE has the added benefit of 2 year Silver Support warranty - providing additional piece of mind.

Continuity of workflow can be very important. Enjoying the benefits of the HVR-M15AE does not mean that you need to change the way you work. Like DVCAM VTR's, a full range of connectivity is available for external devices including Composite In/Out, S-video In/Out, Component Out and i.LINK (IEEE1394). In addition, you can choose to convert your HDV footage with the in-built down-converter to output in Standard Definition if required.
