For external control, the DSR-45AP comes with RS-422A and RS-232C interfaces as standard. Equipped with a 2.5-inch built-in LCD, the DSR-45AP displays the video signal in addition to information such as audio level and system status.

Diagrams of the front and rear panels are included in the 'Brochures' section.
This product comes with the full PrimeSupport package. That’s fast, hassle-free repairs, a helpline offering expert technical advice, and a free loan unit while yours is repaired. Plus the peace of mind that Sony is looking after your equipment – and your business.
While the DVCAM format delivers superior A/V performance and reliability for professional use, when you need to record and playback in DV(SP) format, the DSR-45AP offers you this choice too.
You can use the high resolution built-in LCD colour monitor to view the image as it records, or to check the playback picture on the location. It also makes setting menus and audio recording levels easier.
If your need is versatility, the DSR-45AP is your solution. Use it as the editing player in an A/B roll or a cut editing system. Or, use it with your conventional analogue system.
The DSR-45AP is both compact and lightweight, weighing just 4.6kg. Only a half-rack wide, two units can be mounted side-by-side in a 19-inch equipment rack.
The integrated i.LINK interface allows you to transfer digital audio and video through a single-cable connection with virtually no loss in quality. This provides an easy and convenient way to make back-up tapes.
Analogue input signals can be converted to digital and simultaneously output from the i.LINK connector. Also, it can convert i.LINK input signal to analogue signals.
