Smarter than your average TV, the HX85 series with X-Reality PRO know what you’re watching, where it comes from and even what’s on screen at any time – then it makes it smoother, clearer and more detailed. So if you’re watching catch-up TV online it can adjust the signal to make it less juddery and add smoother contours for a more realistic view. It’s particularly good for 3D film and TV as distant objects don't lose their detail.

Fast action looks smooth with Motionflow XR 800Hz

Feel the movement

When the game is in extra time and the action’s coming thick and fast, the HX85 series with Motionflow XR 800Hz* will make sure you see every move as it happens. It increases the number of images your eye sees every second producing a smoother, more natural TV picture. Motionflow XR 800Hz creates new frames inserted between the original frames.

It works together with LED backlight blinking which selectively darkens horizontal strips of the panel backlight in quick succession, so your eyes see each frame clearly – with no blur or after effects. So no matter how fast the pace of the game, you’ll see every kick, throw or turn in perfect clarity.

From the black of a winter night, to brightest summer day, Local Dimming in our latest LED screens means you’ll see every scene just as the director intended. This controls backlight brightness for individual parts of the picture leaving the dark areas dark, and the bright parts bright, creating an accurate and consistent brightness across the screen, while maintaining a sharp, real picture at all times.

Don’t settle for last season’s styles. We’ve updated the design on the HX85 series with a new Monolithic Design – sleek, slim and stylish; all you see is the screen. With a discreet brushed aluminium border the TV sits in a new stand and looks like it’s floating in mid-air. What’s more the stand has speakers built in for a rich, even tone across the room.
