What standards do we meet?
Green Partner Environmental Quality Approval ProgramWe have led the industry by establishing our own global standards for the management of substances in products. Sony suppliers must fulfil the material requirements according to our Green Partner Environmental Quality Approval Program. This ensures we maintain a common global standard for our products by buying parts and materials only from suppliers who have passed an audit and have been certified as Sony Green Partners. EU REACH RegulationIn addition to our work to restrict the use of harmful substances, The European Union Regulation No 1907/2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) requires that any companies operating in the EU, including Sony, comply with various legal obligations, including informing customers about the use of ‘Substances of Very High Concern’ (SVHC), that are listed on the so-called ‘REACH Candidate List’, in our products.
