DYNAX Generation VI

Generation VI : Transition from Film to the All-digital Camera

This series saw digital technology go mainstream and replaced film. DYNAX's anti-shake function also made its debut, greatly impacting the industry to the extent that it has now become a standard feature of digital photography. Anti-shake technology has achieved for digital cameras, what the AF system of the 7000 achieved for the SLR.

DYNAX 7D (2004)

A long-term research development, the 7D was the first all-digital DYNAX SLR. R&D commenced with the slogan: "Having solved the challenges of AE and AF, we shall now eliminate camera shake."

The 7D had a major advantage over cameras of competitors, as it integrated the anti-shake function, the world's first, into the DYNAX body, not the lens, using a newly developed actuator. This ensured that any α lens attached to the body could take advantage of the anti-shake technology. The company's dedication to maintaining lens-mount continuity demonstrated its long-term commitment to users of α lenses.

DYNAX 5D (2005)

The guiding philosophy behind this camera was to make anti-shake technology widely available to all users.

The DYNAX 5D was designed as a compact, lightweight digital SLR camera to be sold at a low price. It caused manufacturers everywhere to introduce an anti-shake function in their own products, much in the way the 7000 impacted the industry and pressured camera makes to offer their own AF systems.
