AppliCast™ widgets are like those on a computer, displaying on a sidebar on your screen without interrupting your TV programme. You can add and edit widgets using the BRAVIA XrossMediaBar™ (XMB™) menu and your TV remote control. You can use 3 built-in widgets straight away:
- How to use AppliCast™: find out how to get the best from your AppliCast™ and set up widgets.
- Clock: keep an eye on the time with this analogue clock.
- Calendar: plan your week or coming holidays while still enjoying your favourite TV show.
Set up a further 5 widgets when you connect your BRAVIA TV to the Internet:
- Alarm: set a countdown timer to remind you when a film is about to start or when it's dinner time.
- Calculator: manage accounts or quickly find the answer to that tricky TV quiz question.
- RSS reader: get up-to-the-minute news, gossip and updates from your favourite websites or blogs.
- World clock: display up to 4 locations or explore time zones on a virtual globe.
- Picture frame: download images from the Sony picture gallery or display your own photos in full-screen glory.
Remember that AppliCast™ only works with Ethernet-enabled BRAVIA TVs, and to use certain widgets you’ll need to connect your TV to the Internet.
