    Hi Thalamus,

Do you mean you have just installed ICS on your tablet??

I haven't received any notification or message!!

How can I get the ICS? Do I have to wait till I am informed personally?

    Thanks

    Pedro

    Exactly as theheadofthebroom has expalined..

Click on Apps (top right) then click on Settings..

    In Settings click on About

then click on Syatem Update & hopefully the update notice should appear..

I'm having a few lock-ups on mine - going to do a factory reset, but just copying backups of all my apps and data onto my computer first.

Pretty sure it's probably just that I installed something I shouldn't have which has changed a setting that is now more important in ICS - looks like most people have gotten a great upgrade, I look forward to being as pleased with it once I've reset. Hopefully the backup should be superfluous, but having just upgraded can't be sure.

Call me paranoid but as an Ubuntu user, I frequently find that upgrades are not as smooth as they aught to be, and I end up having to reinstall. Gets you into the habit of storing your data seperately

IThalamus do you know if it was just us UK or the whole of Europe? dogman a user of this forum has nothing yet in Finland, any info for him...?

To be honest I don't know about Finland but I can't see why the ICS update would not be made available to all European tablet owners, other European countries are saying it's available so it's gradually spreading..

And as if by magic - just as I'm about to do a factory reset it becomes massively more responsive - I'm guessing it was doing some indexing on the many gigabytes of media I have on my SD card - before ICS I only had a paid-for music player and an adware video player that coudl access it...

    CHROME!!!

I can confirm that you can get Swype on here. I am typing this on Swype in chrome

Edit - back to the computer - a real keyboard is still so much better: try this link

    Thanks God!!

I have just got my tablet updated to ICS.

Maybe the point was that UK is 1 hour ahead the rest of Europe ;-).

    Thanks to all.

this tablet feels awsome to use again. stutters a lot less frequently, I love being able to close apps by swiping them from the recent apps list, I've uninstalled the task manager app I was using. I also now have launchers for all my apps catagorised on one home screen - really minor changes b\t a great improvement in usability. the only thing that bothers me is that I hoped to be able to use more small apps. it would be great if you could use all the apps that can scale down to phone resolution in small windows...
