As sony launched its own bookstore recently I decided to register, as you do, anyway as it took a few minutes to see how poor it is, I did notice they sell newspapers.

Great, as I like the idea of reading a newspaper on my tablet. Initial selection is a bit small but the main  'fly in the ointment' is that newspapers cannot be delivered to tablets!!!!

I like my tablet, I really do but they make it so hard.

Reading this thread is very much like reading forums for the Sony camera I have, it seems to be same story - a total lack of customer care.

If you say in Dec 2011 you are going to release an update soon and we get to May 2012 without any other communication, it's not really looking after your customers is it!!!

Sony please talk to us, we are where your profit comes from, your customers.

Sony simply finds Europe difficult: many countries, many languages, many different ISP's/networks/content providers, regulations, legal-stuff between countries and multinational content providers, etc. etc.

it is one of the reasons they roll out in Japan and then USA first.

it is the reason that the European country-by-country releases tend to get delayed.

The regional differences go for the ICS update, but also for Apps that come with the Tablet.

I think Sony doesn't want to roll out ICS for individual countries soon-as-it-is-ready - that would trigger even more complaints on even more forums from users from waiting countries for which the update is not yet ready . Remember: this was the response to the way the Tablet S was launched last year.

Instead, for ICS with all the updated Apps, I think Sony wants to release it for all the European countries at once. I guess we are waiting for the last ICS-app updates for certain countries to be approved and ready for release, and Sony has stumbled on some delay in that last phase. It shouldn't be too long anymore before it comes.

i am from spain and think the same of you. I think it's incredible that a company like sony dont give any information about upgrades in all the ce. And more knowing that english and spanish versions are available in america.

Sony better hurry cos they are really starting to p*ss people off... they do not even state the current situation, terrible customer service. And they wonder why Samsung are the dominant player when it comes to Android... jsut remember Sony.. Nokia were No.1 once too - look at them now... they ignored their customers and now they are quite pathetic.

Dont think i will be buying anymore Sony products for a while now.... Sweden never seems to get the update either, and also the " playstation store" doesn't exist in sweden either... you only get the crash bandicot game and the other "Playstation games" that u can find in the "Google play" isnt available in this country... thats pretty messed up 2, since a big reason that i wanted this was for the playstation thing...... really dissapointed in all matters at sony...

    Hi guys,

UK user here, hoping its released before I goto america.

I fly which is on 25th May,  very poor service from Sony on this.

Again I am a all Sony guy at home much like some of you.

I am very close to moving to an ipad due to the poor service for this, and for me thats a huge step.

I waited so long for a decent tablet, and when Sony announced the Tablet S I was so excited, but wireless dropouts rebooting and the like is really annoying me.

I have tweeted this page to @SonyUK by the way.

Heres hoping some good news comes this week.

    Dan

I agree with most of you have said, and I support the idea of posting here until someone from Sony read that and reply us, I tried to talk with customer care (by chat) two times, it looks they have a preprepred (copy/paste) answer "we will inform our customers when the ICS is released"

I bought my tablet two months ago, I didn't have any doubt that a big name like Sony will be last to provide ICS as all android tablets manufacturer already did long time ago (even the ones that costs 150 euros !). so frustrating
