Ethernet via TV or Home theater?

Hi, newbie question. Recently bought a 3d unit (46HX923) and home theater (bdv-l600). Quality on both items superb. That said, The TV connection via wi-fi and slow. The home theater also has a wi-fi option (not currently used). I intend to wire one of the devices via ethernet cable. So, question is - will cable connecting the home theater, also enable internet access on the TV ? (both units are linked by HDMI) or, must I cable the TV for faster internet responce, and also purchase wi-fi adapter for the home theater, thereby allowing other home-theater options - though i'm not too sure what the options are?

 

My preference is as few cable as possible & would appreciate any counsel.

    Hi,

     

    hardwiring your internet connection over wireless will not nessessarily make it faster but more stable, personally have the router close to your tv and hardwire it to both devices, a couple of ethernet cables will not make a lot of diffrence to the cabling you already have and if its all behind the stand it wont matter.

    the HDMI connection has no bearing on ethernet or wireless so forget that.

    Many thanks for prompt response and i'll pop to Maplins during the week and get a couple of cables. Out of interest, is the home-theater worth ethernet connecting? I'm unclear as to the extra services it would provide, above & beyond TV internet connection. With kind regards,
