Hi is there anywhere i can download Sony drvers without downloading other junk virus's etc

Sony dont provide this driver?

No drivers on my c drive.

Would cost about £40 to get the recovery disc from Sony asia.

Driver for a Sony Vaio PCG-GRT30P  for XP

Audio driver not provided on the sony website= SigmaTel STAC9750/51 @ SiS 7012 Audio Device PCI

This driver info comes from everest

I have tried driver detective and all this does is bluescreen part way through the driver install, so i guess its the wrong driver for xp (it picks realtek WDM_A406)

I have done about 3 fresh installs with xp, no service packs, xp sp2, xpsp3 and win7 32bit to test the sound drivers (win7 does work with the realtek audio xp driver, but its too slow with win7 i would like xp on this laptop)

Thanks for any help

    Hi marcusrolyat,

As this is a Sony Europe forum you will not find drivers for your particular model here.

There are similar GRT models listed on the European support site that have the SigmaTel STAC9750 chipset and you could, at your own risk, try these drivers that are available as both original and updated.
