I have a RDR-HXD890 recorder which has ceased to format any type of dvd discs supposedly supported

on this recorder. keeps insisting unable to format either automatically or by disc set-up menu.

any ideas or help appreciated.

You can also check device manager and veryify if the correct driver is installed here.

Perhaps you would care to explain the procedure for checking Device Manager on an RDR-HXD890
