Hi

I recently found this source saying that all products sold within EU must be covered by 24 months guarantee, Sony still trying to convince it doesn't apply on them. Did any of you have similar issue?

A two-year guarantee

applies to the sale

of all consumer goods

everywhere in the EU

cheers

Looks like all electronics firms - Panasonic, Apple, Samsung, Nintendo, Fujifilm, Acer, Sanyo, X-Box,LG, Nikon etc only offer a 12 month guarantee in the UK.

However, The Sale of Goods Act does give you additional safeguards.

Let us know if you find anything new.

I guess certain brands provided additional warranty life, but you have to pay for it.
