How do I upload movies with DSC-HX20V  onto my MacBook Pro? Photos upload fine, but I can't find where any movies downloaded.  When there is only a movie on the memory card, iPhoto says there is nothing to upload.

Hello texascossack - Welcome to the Sony Forums

If you connect the camera directly to your Mac, you may see the video files when you browse to the memory card and if this is the case, this means that they may be in a format that iMovie is unable to read. If you are able to see the files outside of iMovie, could you let me know the file extension i.e. the letters at the end of the filename and I may be able to suggest a method of converting them into something that should function with iMovie. I know it isn't ideal but it has worked for other users in the past.

    Thanks,

    Simon

Correct. Mac can see the file but cannot play this yet. You need to change the format first to Mp4. https://imagicon.info/cat/12-13/vmware_happy.gif

    Hello austingrd / texascossack

Thanks for your input - in this case please let me know the file format that you can see on the hard drive so that I can recommend suitable software to convert it to MP4 or AVI.

For example, software such as this should convert a variety of formats to MP4 which is suitable for iMovie:

    Thanks,
