Hello all,

I have a 2001 Ford Mondeo which has a quickclear windscreen which is basically a mesh of very fine wires embedded in the glass. There are clear strips of the screen at the edges which are about 1-2" wide, wider at the bottom and narrow at the top. Would it be ok to install the DAB aerial on this clear strip or does the aerial need to be further away from the wires? Would I be better off installing the aerial in the quarterlights or maybe the rear hatch (although that has a heating element too)?

Many thanks,

Heemoth

    Hi heemoth,

Not sure on a definitive answer to this - I always thought that keeping DAB aerials separate is the best idea, plus glass mounted aerials are not always the best...... most experts seem to advise fitting roof mount antenna to ensure the best reception (I assume for this reason).

I found this site pretty good for advice and checking out what aerial solutions are available: http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/

    Hope this helps?
