BDV-E780 - some issues....any suggestions

Have had this system for nearly 9 months and a few things really starting to annoy me....

 

1) why no Netflix

2) why does it take ages when you turn on for the sound to come on via the "TV" or "Sat" functions

3) why does the DVD image on the menu show a DVD that hasn;t been played for ages...

4) a new issue is when i select home it can take up to 5 minutes to show the menu - and turns itself on and off and then seems to re-boot thereafter.

5) have the same lip sync issues as others have said - mostly on DVD and not TV.......

 

this is a good system and great sound but lack of updates on the web content - netflix and less options than i have on my tv just seem weird.

 

any chance the next firmware update will improve and add functionality....can i get a refund if not!!!

    I do not think Sony will release netflix on your system as it is an old one the N series has netflix on and in a press lease on one of the audio magazines they said it would only be on 2012 models maybe sony could clear this up.

    As for the sound have you tries putting it onto fast boot in system settings my bdv-n590 shuts down and boots up when the t.v shuts  off.It goes into standby first then 30secs  later turns  off once the fast boot (start-up) is selected maybe the sound will be on within 30 sec's.

    I dont really accept Sony's view on Netflix and "old" systems.  I only got this in October 2011!!!  Absolutely nuts they havent built platforms that can take upgrades......
