How do you know whether a particular TV has Audio Return Channel capability ?

My existing Sony TV doesn't offer Audio Return Channel (ARC) as I discovered after I unsuccessfully tried to connect my Sony L600 home cinema Bluray via HDMI to the TV.

Play Blurays through speakers but I want to also play TV via speakers therefore need ARC.

I need to replace my existing Sony TV (40 in) with a model that offer ARC but how can you tell ? I can't see anything in the technical spec.

Thanks tetrapackage.

Now I know that I need a TV with both of the following:
HDMI v1.4 and that
ARC has been implemented by the manufacturer

Unfortunately, neither of these details are shown by any of the manufacturers in their technical specifications.....
