This unit has RDS functions, so as long as you are listening to a station that broadcasts RDS information then you should get the station name displayed.  You need to at least have the 'AF' function activated for this to happen though.

If you have AF switched on and you're listening to a station that you know has station info, then it might be worth checking your aerial - you do need a decent signal to receive this extra information even if you just have enough signal strength to hear the broadcast.
