Vaio laptop disk drive.

MY Vaio laptop is not recognising that DVD's or CD's are present in the disk drive. What is up with it?

    Hi jmwadsworth and welcome.

     

    What model Vaio do you have?

     

    Please check in Device Manager and see if there are any error warnings against the DVD/CD-ROM drive.  If there is a yellow warning ! then double-click on the drive and give us the Error Code.

    Look for the device driver and have it reinstalled.
