Long story, please bare with.

Set my work (exchange) email up several months ago, no problem. Recently changed server at work, new settings etc etc. Had to remove account and reinstall using new settings. Didnt work unfortunately. Im not too bothered except for the fact that everytime I load the sony email client or indeed any other program I get a message appear twice that states

THE APPLICATION EMAIL HAS STOPPED UNEXPECTEDLY. PLEASE TRY AGAIN. FORCE CLOSE.

It is getting  a bit annoying having the message pop up twice shortly after I open each program. Because it is a system application, it cannot be uninstalled. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem please?

Not actualy that bothered about the email itself just the pop up message.

    1.

    Try this:

    - Go to manage applications under settings,

    - Find the email app

    - Press the clear data and clear cache buttons

    - good chance that this will stop the error messages to appear.

    - Start up the Email app

    - if you still see your (new) work account: delete it

    - good chance that this will fix it happening again.

    2.

If the ICS upgrade is rolled out, there will be the option to disable pre-installed apps.

    3.

If you don't get the email app to connect to your account,

a simple alternative is to use your webmail interface, bookmark that site in the web browser,

and place that bookmark somewhere on your homescreens, similar as you would place an app-icon or a widget.
