VGC-LN1M Disassembly

Hi does anyone have a disassembly guide for a VGC-LN1M / PCG-2E1M ?

 

I need to remove the hard drive after the cooling vents became blocked.

    My goodness, judging from your posts to date you have quite a few different Vaio models! Or could you be trying to use this forum to obtain knowledge for commercial purposes?

    I have used a lot of Vaio systems.

    I'm just discussing Sony technical issues. Why am I being questioned on this?

    Simply to ascertain whether you are a Vaio user looking for help or someone seeking assistance on a business-related venture. I personally don’t contribute to this forum to help commercial repairers as anyone undertaking work for gain should have the relevant manuals or inherent knowledge to undertake the work without the need to resort to a user forum.

     

    These are my own views and are not related to the forum t&c’s.

    In my view there should be no reason why users cannot repair their own Vaio systems.

    I have the same issue, one other question. Rich are you always that helpful? If it's not in the forum ts&qs then why would you even get involved?

    @DaveLingard Thank you for pointing this out, I think that was a much needed comment.

     

    I did manage to resolve this myself (without any useful input from Sony)

     

     

    You might find it useful to know that the back plastic panel is removable, you just need to take out the screws that hold it in. From here it is quite easy to access the vents and other components. The front plastic cover around the screen can also be removed once these screws have been taken out.

    I stand by my record on the forum for the last eight years and no one on the forum has previously accused me of being what –Cass- has edited out from your post.

     

    I clearly explained my position in the second of my posts in this thread and if you take the trouble to read all of the OP’s posts you may understand why I questioned their motive.
