Sync NWZ-A865 with iTunes in Mac OS

I have just bought a NWZ-A865. I am going NUTS trying to figure out how to sync my music. With my iPod, it shows up in iTunes but no such luck with the Sony. I have Googled this question an I was led to believe that it can be done. Can someone please help me. Why are Sony so utterly rubbish at supporting the Mac OS?

    This is a problem many people are coming up against. If you go to Amazon, the splurge given on this .mp3 player actually specifies iTunes via Sony only works on a Windows computer. Macs are not supported. If you can get access to a Windows PC, get your iTunes music from that. If you were not told this player doesn't work with a Mac, you should have been so advised. Did you ask about that when you bought the player?
