When will the SEL 55210 Lens be available in the UK and does anyone know what "currently unavailable" means on the Sony Online Store website? Is it discontinued?

    Hi flamsteadflicker - Welcome to the Sony Forums

     

    While I do not know any specific information about the release of this lens, I can tell you that 'currently unavailable' is the default status when an exact date has not yet been set for the release of a certain product. Having said that, looking at various other online stores through Google gives a date of between 1-3 months so I would advise you to keep checking the Sony store as well as other online retailers regularly.

    Hmmmm I've also pre-ordered from Play.com

     

    At first it was to be available end of Jan, then it was pushed to 20th Feb and the latest update is 09th April!!! Starting to wish I hadn't bought into the NEX "system"!!

     

    eBay me thinks for my 5N

    Same for me.  With no fixed release date in the UK I can't keep hanging on forever.  If there's no news by the end of this month (Apr '12) then I going to chop in the NEX5 and get a Canon full DSLR
